Children should be inculcated in the non-communal spirit of Bangabandhu: Industries Minister
Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun MP said, "Hon'ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is moving ahead in running the country following Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. As the Awami League has been in power for a long time, the country has become prosperous and everyone is enjoying the benefits of this development. Because Bangabandhu has always practiced democracy and development politics, the country has become a developing country today." He further said, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had complete knowledge in running the country and was able to rebuild the country in a very short time after independence.
He was speaking as the chief guest at a seminar titled 'Shidhu Odhikar Rokkhai Bangabandhu' on the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman organized by the Ministry of Industries. State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Majumder MP was the special guest in the presidency of Industries Secretary KM Ali Azam. Md. Arifur Rahman Apu, Chairman, Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industries Corporation (BSFIC) read the keynote address at the seminar. Discussed the main article, Additional Secretary of the Ministry, Md. Golam Yahya, Joint Secretary, Dr. Nasim Ahmed, Md. Mushtaq Hasan, NDC, Chairman, Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSIC) and Dr. Md. Mofizur Rahman, Managing Director, Bangladesh Small and Medium Industries Foundation (SMEF). It was attended by senior officials of the ministry and heads of departments / agencies. The seminar was organized in the conference room of the Ministry of Industry on Wednesday.
The Industries Minister further said that the Father of the Nation should inculcate tenderness in the children in the spirit of non-communalism and democracy so that they can devote themselves to building a non-communal country in the spirit of freedom fighters in the future. We are able to take part in the unfinished work of the father of the fortunate nation in this Ministry of Industry. Today, we promise to the nation that we will fulfill the responsibility entrusted to the Ministry of Industry to build Bangabandhu's Sonar Bangla.
Speaking as the special guest, the state minister for industry said that in 1975, the assassins not only killed Bangabandhu, but also his cherished dreams and ideals. After '75, the development of national industry was hampered by the destruction of the industrial establishments built by the father of the nation. The present Awami League government has brought development and qualitative change in the industrial sector of the country. As a result, Bangladesh has risen from a least developed country to a developing country. The Ministry of Industry should continue the trend of this indicator of development. He further said that the children of their own families should be educated with good care and developed as worthy citizens.
The Industries Secretary said, "On the birth centenary and the golden jubilee of independence, we will be inspired by the spirit of the great liberation war and pledge that we can all build a prosperous industrial Bangladesh for the next generation unitedly."
Earlier, at the premises of the Ministry of Industries, the Minister of Industries, State Minister for Industries, Secretary of Industry, senior officials of the Ministry and heads of departments, agencies laid wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu at the altar and on the mural of Bangabandhu at the lobby and visited Bangabandhu Corner. Later, cut a cake on the occasion of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman birth centenary.
