Biman suspends flights for Saudi Arabia till May 24
Biman Bangladesh Airlines has suspended all flights to Saudi Arabia for four days, from May 20 to May 24, 2021, due to various issues including hotel quarantine facilities by the Saudi authorities.
“All passengers booked at the specified time are specially requested to contact any of the nearest aviation offices to book their hotel and schedule their next flight,” said Tahera Khandakar, deputy managing director (public relations) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, said in a statement on Thursday.
Earlier this week, Saudi Arabia announced that foreign visitors arriving by air from most countries will no longer need to quarantine if they have been vaccinated against Covid-19.
Under the new rules, anyone over the age of eight years old who is not vaccinated must quarantine on arrival in Saudi Arabia for seven days at their own expense as of May 20 and provide a negative PCR test on the sixth day of their arrival.
