Bangladesh blow Malaysia away 6-0 in first friendly match
It was a impressive display by Bangladesh women's soccer team as they made the first FIFA tier-1 Int'l friendly match a memorable in their home ground thrashing visiting Malaysia eve team by 6-0 goals in the first match held Thursday.
Held at Birshreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamala Stadium in the city's Kamalapur, Bangladesh began to dominate the play and got reap early in the 9th minute when Akhi Khatun scored the first goal for Bangladesh with a right footer tap from the handshake distance capitalizing on a corner from Maria Manda.
Skipper Sabina Khatun doubled the lead in the 26th minute. Taking a close cross from Swapna she ran down and sent the ball to the open net with a placing shot after dodging past Malaysian custodian who came to clear the ball.

Sirat Jahan Shopna joined the party scoring the fourth goal for Bangladesh in the 45th minute with a placing shot off a close pass Sabina.
Back with a 4-0 lead, Bangladesh resumed the second half and added two more goals in their tally. Monika Chakma opened the flood gate scoring the fifth goal for Bangladesh in the 67th minute from the goal-mouth melee while Krisna Rani completed the score line 6-0 in the 74th minute with a brilliant header
utilizing a pass from left flank.
The girls in red and green completely dominated the entire proceeding and notched their deserving victory on the day while Malaysia who are 61 steps ahead than Bangladesh in FIFA ranking, were totally off colored.
The ultimate match of the series will be held on Sunday (June 26) at the same venue.
