Bangladesh all out for 330 in first innings

Bangladesh were all out for 330 runs in their first innings against Pakistan in the first Test of the two-match series at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Saturday.

Hasan Ali took five wickets to restrict Bangladesh for an average total after they finished the first day on 253-4 and promised some more runs with two set batsmen Liton Kumar Das and Mushfiqur Rahim unbeaten after day one.

But once again, the first session of the day proved to be deadly for Bangladesh as Liton departed early on the day and debutant Yasir Ali could not fulfil all the promises he showed for the past couple of years.

Mushfiqur Rahim was a bit unfortunate because it was not clear either the ball touched the bat or the sound emerged from the bat hitting the pad.

He was out for 91 runs, missing out on a potential Test century against Pakistan, an opposition he is yet to get a hundred.

Three quick wickets in the first hour put Bangladesh on backfoot, and the tailenders who seldom rescue the Tigers from such situations could not work out another wonder this time.

Bangladesh managed to add only 77 runs on day two, lost the remaining six wickets which folded them for 330 runs in the first innings.

Hasan Ali finished the first innings with 51-5.

He picked two wickets in his last two deliveries of the first innings and if he can pick another wicket on the first ball in the second innings he will be able to pick up his first Test hat-trick.
