Adviser on Home Affairs Lieutenant General (retd) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has called for proper reporting of any untoward incident during Durga Puja. He said, 'This year's puja will be very good. All of you will cooperate. We can't do anything without your support. If any incident happens anywhere, give us the correct report. I hope that no incident will happen anywhere this time.'
He said these things to reporters while visiting Dhakeshwari temple in the capital on Thursday.
The Home Affairs Advisor said, '8 points have been given to the local administration and security forces from the Ministry of Home Affairs. Let everyone observe it well.'
He said, 'The interim government this time seems to have given the maximum donation of 4 crore taka for puja. Two or three crore rupees have been donated before this.'
Regarding security, the Home Affairs Advisor said, 'We have the responsibility to provide security to all the citizens of Bangladesh 365 days. It will always remain intact. Sometimes minor things happen. It is an isolated incident.'
