Misinformation being spread over St. Martin: Environment Adviser
Environment, Forest and Climate Change Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan said that misinformation is being spread on social media about the strange talk that the interim government is leasing St. Martin Island.
She said this after the One Health Day program at Hotel Pan Pacific Sonargaon in the capital on Monday.
The environmental adviser said that the government is coordinating to protect the country's only coral island Saint Martin and tourism. Visitors have to back on the same day from St. Martin in November. And in December and January, a maximum of 2,000 tourists can stay overnight.
The adviser said, we have to be aware not only about human rights but also about the rights of wildlife. We need to change our perception of the environment and wildlife. The current condition of elephant movement is very alarming.
He said the government wants to protect St. Martin and the tourism industry together.
Syeda Rizwana Hasan said that the BNP's claim about the election is not unreasonable, but the people want reforms first, saying that political parties or anyone can talk about the election. However, the government is working on both holding elections and reforms. Still, in some places, the roots of fascism exist, who are trying to create an abnormal atmosphere through various activities.
