JCI Dhaka Aspirants Hosts Traditional "Chain Handover" Ceremony


Junior Chamber International (JCI) Dhaka Aspirants recently held a grand “Chain Handover” ceremony at Club 89 in Dhaka. The prestigious “Chain Handover,” a longstanding tradition of JCI—a century-old organization present in 127 countries—symbolizes the seamless transition of leadership.

Outgoing President, Engineer Mohammad Salahuddin, officially handed over the leadership chain to the newly elected President, Barrister S.M. Abid Ur Rahman. The event was graced by JCI National President Kazi Fahad, former National President and former Ambassador Mosayud Mannan, along with members of the National Governing Body, general members, and leaders from all levels of the organization.

During the ceremony, JCI Dhaka Aspirants’ founder, Barrister Rafaelur Rahman Mehedi, was honored for his significant contributions. Additionally, the newly appointed board members extended their greetings to National Vice President and Mentor, Samia Tahsin.

The newly appointed President, Barrister S.M. Abid Ur Rahman, is not only a legal expert but also a specialist in the corporate and development sectors. Expressing his heartfelt gratitude upon assuming his new role, he outlined his action plan for the upcoming year. He emphasized community development, strengthening international collaboration, fostering entrepreneurship, and empowering young leaders.
