Anti-discrimination student movement start to gather

The anti-discrimination student movement called for a protest on Saturday at Rajbari of Gazipur. Leaders and activists of the movement have already started to move towards the Rajbari grounds at Gazipur Sadar Upazila. The protest is scheduled to start at 1:30pm.

At least 15 people, almost all belonging to the mobs out to vandalise and destroy any signs of the Awami League, were injured as they came under attack in Gazipur city's Dakshinkhan area on Friday night, as Awami League activists foiled their attempt to vandalise the residence of former liberation war affairs minister Mozammel Haque. Three of the injured are in critical condition after the clash that broke out at around 10pm. The anti-discrimination student movement called for a protest after this incident.

Around 4:00am Saturday, the anti-discrimination student movement announced this programme through a post on its Facebook page.

In the post, the organisation said, "A massive protest rally will be held today (Saturday) in protest against the attack by Awami terrorists from the Mozammel-Jahangir group on the organisers of the anti-discrimination student movement in Gazipur."
