5 days a week classes from next year
To implement the government’s initiative to save the global energy crisis and electricity, the classes will be held for five days a week in the new curriculum next year, said Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni.
She said this in response to a query from journalists at the Circuit House after coming to visit Chandpur on Monday afternoon.
The Education Minister said the government has taken initiatives to save electricity, if we make the classes in educational institutions 5 days from now, then we will get a chance to save the energy for a day. Another day of the weekend in the city will save the number of vehicles used to transport students to and from school. However, it has not been decided yet. “We are going to decide soon,” she also said.
Dr. Dipu Moni added that we want to rearrange the classes within 5 days so that the students do not face any problems. Apart from this, the plan has been finalized to fill the lack of lessons during the Covidperiod.
Additional Superintendent of Police Sudipta Roy and Additional District Magistrate Bashir Ahmed were present at this time.
