3 Rohingyas were hacked and shot dead in Ukhia camp
Three Rohingyas have been killed by terrorists in the Ukhia Rohingya camp of Cox's Bazar due to sharp weapons and shooting. Three others were injured in the incident.
The incident took place in the F block of Rohingya camp No. 4 (Extension) of Ukhia in the early hours of Monday (June 10).
The deceased are - son of Zafar Ahmed of F Block. Elias (31), son of deceased Abdur Rakim. Ishahak (54) and E Block of Camp-3. Ismail's son Firoz Khan (18).
The injured are - Abdul Haq (32), son of Hashan of F block, Abdus Shukkur (55), son of Nazir Ahmed and Abdul Monaf (60), son of deceased Omar Mia.
It is known that on Monday around 4:30 am Rohingya Md. Ilyash was fatally injured by members of the Rohingya Solidarity Organization (RSO), a separatist terrorist group in Myanmar, who were shot and stabbed in the arms, legs and lower abdomen with sharp weapons. He later died on the spot due to excessive bleeding. Then around 4:30 in the morning, the members of Myanmar's armed group Arakan Salvation Army (Arsa) arrived at the scene and the supporters of RSO. Ishaq, Firoz Khan, Abdul Haque, Abdus Shukkur and Abdul Monaf were fatally injured by bullets and slashes at different parts of the body.
Later, when the injured were taken to Ukhia Upazila Health Complex for treatment, the doctor on duty said. Ishaq and Firoz Khan were declared dead. The rest were sent to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital for better treatment.
The law enforcement forces deployed in the camp are the captain of the 14th Armed Police Battalion. Iqbal said, one died on the spot. Two others died of their injuries at the hospital. At present, the situation in the Rohingya camp is normal.
In this regard, the officer-in-charge (OC) of Ukhia police station Shamim Hossain said that the bodies of the deceased have been sent to the morgue. Legal action in this regard is under process.
