Kazipara station of metro rail has been repaired at a cost of 20 and a half lakh taka. The station will be commissioned from Friday. Apart from this, metro rail will also run every Friday from now. Managing Director Mohammad Abdur Rauf gave this information in a press conference at DMTCL's office at Pravasi Kalyan Bhawan on Iskaton Road in the capital on Thursday. He said that the metro rail will run from 3:30 pm on Friday to normal time at night. In this case the headway (time between two trains) will be 10 minutes, 8 minutes and 12 minutes according to the time.

The managing director said, Kazipara station will be opened from Friday. 20 lakh 50 thousand rupees have been spent to start this station. But it is being launched quickly just thinking about people. There is still a lot of equipment that will be fixed slowly. Then the cost may increase. He said about the launch of Mirpur station, a committee is working on this station. The committee is still assessing the damage. The amount of damage will be known within the next 7 days. Then action will be taken accordingly.

In the current month till September 18, he said that the metro rail has transported 49 lakh 9 thousand passengers and the income has been Tk 20 crore 67 lakh 3 thousand 551. It was informed in the press conference that every Friday from 20th September from 3:30 PM to 9:00 PM on Motijheel route from Uttara North and from 3:50 PM to 9:40 PM on Motijheel to Uttara North route with 12 minutes headway. will move

Regarding the partial closure of Metrorail on September 18, DMTCL MD said that due to a technical fault, train movement from Agargaon to Motijheel section was temporarily stopped from 9:40 am for the safety of passengers. Metro train movement resumed normal from 8:25 pm after correcting the technical fault in due process. A 7-member committee consisting of representatives of DMTCL, project and consulting firms has been formed to investigate the cause of this untoward incident and to take necessary precautionary measures to prevent such incidents in the future and submit a report with necessary recommendations within the next five working days. The matter will be known in detail after the submission of the committee report. He said the metrorail was closed between Vijay Sarani and Farmgate stations due to displacement of the elastomeric bearing pad between a pier and the viaduct.

Kazipara and Mirpur-10 Metrorail stations were vandalized on July 19 during the anti-discrimination student movement. After that on August 25th, the metro rail movement was normal but these two stations were closed.
