41st BCS schedule, seat arrangements published


The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced the seating arrangement and schedule for the 41st BCS Preliminary Examination (MCQ) which will be held on March 19. At the same time, instructions for conducting the test have also been published.

The test will be conducted simultaneously in Dhaka, Chattogram, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal, Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet centers on March 19 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Any application of the candidates for changing the center will not be considered, the PSC said.

It is to be mentioned that 2,135 officers will be appointed in different posts as per the gazette notification published for the 41st BCS on November 27, 2019. The education cadre will be recruited the most. 

915 people will be recruited in this cadre. 905 of them will be recruited as lecturers in BCS education and 10 will be recruited as lecturers in the technical education department. Then more people will be recruited in the administration cadre.

Besides appointing 323 people in the administration, 100 people will be recruited in the police, 110 assistant surgeons and 30 assistant dental surgeons in BCS health.

The notification also said that 25 people in foreign cadres, 23 people in Ansar, 25 as Assistant Accountant General (Audit and Accounts) in the Ministry of Finance, 60 people as Assistant Tax Commissioner (Tax), 23 people as Assistant Commissioner (Customs and Excise) and 8 people will be appointed as Assistant Registrar. 

12 statistical officers in the Statistics and Informatics Division, four Assistant Mechanical Engineers, one Assistant Traffic Superintendent, one assistant equipment controller, 20 assistant engineers (Civil) and three assistant engineers (Mechanical) will be appointed in the Ministry of Railways. 

Besides, the Ministry of Information will recruit 22 assistant directors or information officers or research officers, 11 assistant directors (Programs), five assistant message controllers, nine assistant radio engineers, 36 assistant engineers in BCS Public Health Engineering of LGRD Division and 20 assistant forest conservators, the notification mentioned.

Besides, there are two assistant postmaster generals, 15 in BCS fisheries, 76 in livestock, 183 agricultural extension officers and 6 scientific officers, and four assistant controllers in BCS Trade. 

There will be four family planning officers, six assistant food controllers and two assistant conservation engineers in BCS Food, 36 assistant engineers (Civil) and 15 assistant engineers (E/M) in BCS Public Works will be recruited.
